I’ve heard that song thousands of times, seen it on stage like 100s more and was sure, that no other band can do more justice to it, than Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes… But now, I think that there are some serious competitors rising their voices & saxophones… Bruce wrote the piece almost 4 decades ago, and the Kingfish did play it like 2936 times before this night, last week in Tampa, Florida… So – no real surprise, how well they did play it! Well they did indeed! And: What a surprise! Phenomenal!

Elton John: Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word
In 1977, Elton John announced his “retirement” on his last show of his tour at the Wembley Stadium in London, UK. 35 years later, today, Elton John celebrates his 65th birthday, which would be – in Germany – the line to cross for legal reteirement… As the first retirement didn’t really happen, here’s hoping that Sir Elton will continue to bring his songs to many concert vernues all around the globe for a few more rounds, before retiring in Las Vegas (That one is for you, John!) in, lets say… 15 years or so… I’m sure, I’d still go to see him…
Happy Birthday Sir Reginald!

Johnny Winter: Johnny B. Goode
She & myself went to see Johnny Winter at Münster’s Jovel last night. My ears are still bleeding, from what has been a fab show. Sound was excellent. people were plenty, beer was pricey and Johnny was all himself. Felt like an old friend of the family came by and stoped to say Hello!.
Here’s a video of a song which his mastership did last night… Phew…!!!
Willie Nile: Can’t Stay Home
Punkrock ain’t dead (yet!). There are not many things which can excite me more than a new song from Willie. And when it comes with such a masterfully done video, it’s art! This video has been done shooting more than 5000 photos, everything has been copied and scanned with hand made animations. A labour of love! Long live Willie Nile!
